All critical winder designs are carried out using state-of-the-art finite element analysis, and drawings are produced using Autocad programmes and techniques. 

A 3,4 metre diameter double drum winder having spring applied calliper brakes, being shop assembled in our works. The complete design and manufacture of this winder, which is destined for export to a gold mine in the Philippines, was carried out by Coilmech's dedicated engineering team.

Disc brake calliper units together with spring accumulators are supplied for winders suitable for such systems. The full brake calliper with spring applied brake engines are also designed and supplied with complete hydraulic power pack. The auxiliary controls and drives used are of the highest quality .The mechanical cam gear is of an in-house design that has proven itself to be highly efficient. All Coilmech (PTY)Ltd operations are carried out in strict accordance with ISO 9001 standards. Our fully documented Assurance system is fully maintained and operational.

Mine Winders, ranging from small single drum winders up to complete double drum winders, braking systems and grooved sleeves form a large part of our activity in the market. These machines are engineered, designed and completely manufactured in-house at our premises in Sebenza, Edenvale.
